What is Skelta?
Skelta is a digital insurance aggregator platform designed to help intermediaries — brokers, agents, SACCOs, MFIs, and bancassurance partners — access multiple insurers and products in one place.
Is Skelta an insurance company or intermediary?
No. Skelta is not an insurance intermediary or underwriter. We provide the digital infrastructure that connects licensed insurers to distributors and helps manage the entire insurance lifecycle online.
Who can use Skelta?
Licensed insurance brokers, registered agents, microfinance institutions, SACCOs, and bancassurance teams looking to digitise and grow their distribution channels.
Which insurance products are currently available on Skelta?
Our current lineup includes:

How do I register or partner with Skelta?
Click “Partner with Skelta” on the homepage and fill in your details. Our team will contact you to complete KYC, API access (if required), and onboarding within 48 hours.
Does Skelta integrate with existing systems?
Yes. We offer API integrations for brokers, bancassurance systems, and insurers who wish to link their products or distribution channels directly to Skelta.
How are payments and commissions handled?
All premium payments are routed securely to the respective insurer’s account. Skelta then provides detailed commission tracking through your dashboard for easy reconciliation.
How secure is Skelta’s platform?
We use encrypted APIs, two-factor authentication, and data protection standards that comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019). Our systems are hosted on trusted, compliant cloud infrastructure.
Do I need to install any software?
No installation required. Skelta is entirely web-based and can be accessed securely from any device with internet connectivity.
How does the quoting and policy process work?
Partners can log in, compare multiple insurer quotes instantly, share proposals with clients, and issue policies directly — all through the platform.

Can Skelta be white-labeled?
Yes. For corporate partners or large networks (e.g. SACCOs, MFIs, banks), Skelta offers custom white-label solutions with branding, analytics, and reporting tailored to your institution.
Where is Skelta currently available?
Skelta is currently operational in Kenya, with expansion plans into Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Rwanda from 2027 onward.

Claims are submitted directly to the insurer. However, partners can track claim status updates through their Skelta dashboard in real-time once the insurer integrates its claim API.
